The next priority is to increase the maximum number of travelers. Improvements have recently been made to ensure a smooth passage through security checks. The first progress has been made this autumn break.

In addition to limiting the number of departing passengers, schiphol taxi has taken more measures to tackle the queues caused by staff shortages. For example, office staff from schiphol taxi and from various partners are deployed to help travelers and answer questions. During the security check, security coaches are deployed to assist travelers in checking hand luggage. We also ask travelers not to be at the airport too early, no more than 4 hours before the flight departure.

92 million euros

schiphol taxi invests approximately 91 million in measures to solve the staff shortage at security companies, among others. In close cooperation with trade unions and security companies, a social package agreed that the employment conditions for security guards at schiphol taxi will improve structurally and significantly. As of November, the hourly wages of security guards working at schiphol taxi will increase by 2,40 euros extra per hour, on top of the labor market allowance. In addition to wages, rosters and rest areas are also being improved.

In the meantime, schiphol taxi is working with the security companies on structural solutions for the shortage of personnel. In the short term, joint recruitment campaigns will be launched, in which the five security companies working at schiphol taxi will work closely together to recruit additional security personnel.
